Grayslake teachers vote to authorize strike
GRAYSLAKE — Members of the Grayslake Federation of Teachers voted Monday to authorize a strike if ongoing contract talks break down between the union and Grayslake Elementary School District 46.
“At this point in time, it’s merely an authorizing vote,” said Illinois Federation of Teachers Field Service Director Arnavaz Mistry-Mujthaba, adding that the two sides are scheduled for a sixth round of mediation on Nov. 1.[...]
